The Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions have joined the national celebration of the Communist Party of China s centenary with a seminar highlighting the Party s role in Macao s development and an exhibition in Hong Kong that features the CPC s achievements over the past century.   The events are part of a host of activities－such as lion dances, light shows and issuances of commemorative stamps－organized in the two SARs to celebrate the landmark anniversary.   A high-level seminar was held in Macao on Friday to study the speech delivered by General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping at the CPC centenary celebration on Thursday. In the speech, Xi, who is also China s president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, pledged that the central government will continue to uphold the one country, two systems principle in Hong Kong and Macao and will maintain the lasting prosperity and stability of the two SARs.
