As a final exam to write to us, their feelings about the murals and the opinions were really varied. There was definitely as many variety of opinions as there in this room. I think that was a really brave, and great piece of teaching. I just want to commend him for that. We heard tonight, in fact, he supports taking down the mural. I think we can draw from that that students were encouraged to engage with us on what they felt they werent told what to feel by their teacher. I want to commend him for that. I think its really important and i think its what we hope all of our teachings in our schools is about. I have been particularly guided, by the students, that told us that they felt the murals were demoralizing. I dont think they should be forced to view images at school that make them feel that way.
