Nearly 87 million EUR following natural disasters in Greece and France  European Solidarity Fund should be made simpler and faster  Improving preparedness and risk prevention  Whilst approving the new aid, MEPs called on the Commission to simplify the EU Solidarity Fund to ensure it can respond to climate change and more frequent natural disasters. On Tuesday, Parliament agreed to mobilise €397.5 million from the European Union Solidarity Fund (EUSF) to help 17 member states and three accession countries to safeguard public health in fighting COVID-19. The beneficiaries are: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Albania, Montenegro and Serbia.
