AMD EYPC Processor
American multinational semiconductor company AMD is showcasing momentum for its AMD EPYC processors and AMD Instinct accelerators across the HPC (High-Performance Computing) industry in this year’s International Supercomputing 2021 digital event. The latest Top500.org list showcased the continued growth of AMD EYPC processors for HPC systems powering nearly 5x more systems compared to the June 202 list, and more than double the number based on November 2020 data. As of June 2021, AMD EYPC processors power half of the 58 new entries in the list, as they also outlined updates to the ROCm open software platform and at the same time introducing the AMD Instinct Education and Research (AIER) initiative.
