Gurugram, May 27 : Door-to-door screening being conducted by the Gurugram health department in the rural areas has found that 13 villages remain unaffected by the coronavirus.
Deputy Commissioner Yash Garg said that 13 villages with zero Covid cases is a major relief to the district at a time when other areas are reporting maximum number of infections.
District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO) Narendra Sarwan said that the health department groups, which comprise Anganwadi workers and Asha workers, have been screening people in every village of the district since May 15. This work is being done simultaneously in all the 166 villages of the district.

Gurugram, May 19 : To identify Covid-19 patients in the rural areas of Gurugram, the district administration has set up around 164 teams to conduct door-to-door screening in each gram panchayat to identify corona patients and make people aware of the prevention measures.
Health officials said that more than 36,000 people in the rural areas will be been covered by these teams which have been deployed by the district health department.
Deputy Commissioner Yash Garg said, Awareness campaigns have been increased in the rural areas of the district and the villagers are coming forward to test themselves and their acquaintances with symptoms related to Covid-19.

Gurugram, May 16 : Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday inaugurated two Covid care centres here in sectors 38 and 67.
With these two centers, 100 at Tau Devi Lal stadium and 300 at M3M Urban i sector 67, around 400 extra beds will be now available for the treatment of Covid patients in Gurugram.
Deputy Commissioner Yash Garg said that the CM will also inaugurate another 100-bed Covid centre at Government Girls College in Sector 14 on Monday.
Officials informed that a 100-bed capacity temporary hospital has been set up at Tau Devi Lal stadium in Sector 38 with the help of Vedanta Group.
