Casino giant Crown Resorts is not fit to run its $2.2 billion Sydney casino because it facilitated money laundering and has other deep problems, a highly anticipated report has found.
James Packer's Crown Resorts will today find out whether it is suitable to hold a casino licence in NSW, with trading on the stock market halted ahead of the determination.
The state's independent liquor and gaming authority will release the report by Commissioner Patricia Bergin this afternoon, once it is tabled in NSW parliament.

A probe into Crown Resorts has recommended the embattled gaming giant should be denied a Sydney casino licence, in a crippling blow to its A$2.2 billion ($2.3b) Barangaroo project.
The NSW Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority (ILGA) in its report tabled to the state parliament says Crown Sydney s casino licence should be revoked after revelations of illegal money laundering within its Melbourne and Perth venues.
ILGA s report said the James Packer-backed casino was not a suitable licensee holder within the state.
