The Becker County Board again voted 3-2 to terminate Oman’s employment with Becker County, with commissioners Meyer, Jepson and Nelson voting yes, and Okeson and Vareberg voting no.
The evaluation showed a deep split among the five commissioners – to the point that there was talk of terminating Pat Oman's employment contract that same day.
The zoning and comprehensive plan mirror each other, but the plan will take about 14 months to complete, while the zoning ordinances will be finished by next spring.
Two potential road agreements showed up in the county board information packet for Oct. 18, one of which was confusing at best and intentionally misleading at worst.
The only saving grace for the budget process this year is that the Human Services Department “found $300,000 in savings,” said Commissioner Ben Grimsley. “That’s the only thing that keeps the budget from being completely atrocious.”
