Tuesday, Gov. Tim Walz announced the state is launching a new outreach campaign to fight hunger.
The campaign targets Minnesotans who are struggling to afford food for themselves and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Minnesota Department of Human Services collaborated with General Mills to develop the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Campaign, which will use digital marketing to direct people to MNFoodHelper.org and connect them to one of the 32 contracted SNAP partners. No family should go hungry in Minnesota, Walz said. By connecting Minnesotans with resources and support, this public-private partnership will fight hunger and help families stay safe and healthy. I’m incredibly grateful to our partners, like General Mills, who stepped up to support their communities when they saw a need.
