Syracuse Police Chief Kenton Buckner joins Rescue Mission Alliance board

Kenton Buckner has joined its board of directors.
Buckner, who was sworn in as police chief in November of 2018, began his law enforcement career in 1993.
He served 21 years for the
Louisville Metro Police Department, where he rose through the ranks to the position of assistant chief. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from
Eastern Kentucky University. He is a graduate of law enforcement programs sponsored by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Southern Police Institute and the NOBLE Chief Executive Officer mentoring program.
Buckner is a commissioner for the Commission on Accreditation Law Enforcement Agencies, and recently completed a senior executives in state and local government program at
