I also might mention an impressive dissent written by Justice Breyer a couple of years ago. Why the Death Penalty is cruel and unusual punishment. This has really been so incredibly inspiring to all of us. On the your career court, your career as an advocate, as a scholar you just so profoundly changed not only the nation but the world. For everyone here as you are starting your legal career to have the opportunity to spend an hour listening to you about your career and about what the law can do, i cannot think of a better way to start law school, so please join me in a round of applause. [applause] this sunday night on q a, author and columnist David Kay Johnston discusses his book the making of donald trump, which takes a critical look at the republican president ial nominee. That has always has always been a significant part of the rental landscape. Family construction which we talked about before theres quite a bit going on, the highest highest in 30 years, maybe we so it is a million six of approximate and actually 5 million of singleFamily Rental. That is where the renters have gone. Now what is really interesting to me and this is the chart that i follow her and is about to be updated. This is obvious in some ways, we know that incomes have been stagnant, we know rents are rising but the spread between those two, which really you have to stabilize the dollars and one thing i can tell you for sure based on either of the projections that you just heard and what the fact that over 85 of the family construction is at the very high end. This is not getting any better anytime soon. Then we have just to make you feel even prouder of how good this housing economy is, we have a huge problem coming up over the next ten years in terms of the loss of already subsi
The majority of the paris attackers had western passports. With those western passports, they could get into the United States without a visa. This bill has strong bipartisan support and i believe will address the problems identified. This people will also a force high risk individuals who have been to terrorist hot spots to go through a more rigorous screening process before coming to america. It will strenten intelligence information sharing with our allies, which is lacking and crack down on passport fraud. It will also force visa waiver countries to ramp up counterterrorism screening of travelers. But this is just the beginning. Over the coming weeks, we will introduce a slate of new bills passed on the findings of the task force to keep terrorists from crossing our borders. This will include enhancing the security of the visa process. Developing a National Strategy to combat terrorist traveling, improving information sharing here at home and helping foreign partners address securi

Framers of the 14th amendment were actually taking about, you cant get to a lot of these decisions. That is not the way the court has determined to construe the 14th amendment. Thank you for another important episode. I wonder if the timing and the nature of tonights case and others related to it, if it really isnt kind of representing the cleaning up of the failed postcivil war reconstruction business. Im wondering how much time was wasted between then and these cases which occurred. Douglas it is a great question. I think certainly we continue to grapple with these issues today. Certainly, it is a neverending process, one we have to continue to keep working at to figure out how to make our democracy real. Ted it is not just our democracy, but the principles of the declaration of independence, the gettysburg address, the 14th amendment, the concept of equality. We have never been a very perfect country with respect to living up to those ideals, and i think a lot of it is that the just
