Former RRS Commander DCP Tunji Disu Appointed As Kyari’s Replacement
DCP Tunji Disu the immediate Past Commander of the Lagos State Security outfit, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), has been appointed as replacement for the embattled DCP Abba Kyari as Head, Police Intelligence Response Team.
In a release signed by CP Frank Mba, the Force PRO, the appointment was made by the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.
According to the statement “The posting of the officer is on the heels of Management’s decision to fill the leadership gap within the IRT and refocus the Unit for better service delivery.

Following the suspension of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Abba Kyari, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba, approved the posting of DCP Tunji Disu as the new Head of the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT).
The posting of the officer is on the heels of Management’s decision to fill the leadership gap within the IRT and refocus the Unit for better service delivery.
In a statement signed by the Force Spokesman, Frank Mba, the IGP has charged the new Head of the IRT to demonstrate his professional competence in his leadership of the Unit.
