Rear Admiral Abid Hameed takes over as Commander Logistics of Pakistan Navy Karachi, January 25, 2021 (PPI-OT): Rear Admiral Abid Hameed has taken over the Logistic Command of Pakistan Navy in an impressive change of Command ceremony held at PN Dockyard. He took over the command from Rear Admiral Adnan Khaliq. Rear Admiral Abid Hameed would now be incharge of Logistic support to all PN Units, Ships, Establishments and repair/ maintenance facilities of Pakistan Navy. Guard of honour was also presented to the newly appointed Commander Logistics during the ceremony. Later, Commanding Officers of the units under Command were also introduced to Commander Logistics. The ceremony was attended by a large number of officers, civilians and sailors of Pakistan Navy.

Three Pak Navy officers promoted to Rear Admiral National ISLAMABAD: Three Commodores of Pakistan Navy have been promoted as Rear Admiral with immediate effect. The promoted officers include Commodore Javed Iqbal, Commodore Muhammad Sohail Arshad and Commodore Salman Ilyas. All three newly promoted rear admirals are recipients of Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and are graduate of Pakistan Navy War College, Lahore and National Defence University, Islamabad. The officers have illustrious service career with vast experience of various Command and Staff appointments. Rear Admiral Javed Iqbal got commission in Weapon Engineering Branch of Pakistan Navy in 1989. He holds Master s degree in (Communication & Electrical Systems) from United Kingdom. His Command appointments include Commanding Officer NPEC and Commander Technical Support (Coastal) Jinnah Naval Base, Ormara. His major staff appointments include Pakistan Navy Technical Liaison Officer at France, Senior Staff Officer (Submarine)
