parade in the city s downtown area came to a halt after multiple shots were fired. witnesses describe a horrific scene with terrified people running. some ran inside and others hid behind dumpsters and underneath cars. the gunfire started just 14 minutes after the parade began as the band was playing. pictures show multiple victims lying in the street with blood on them. here s how one witness described what they saw. a little after the band went through we heard pow, pow, pow. everybody thought it was fireworks or the military was going through with shotguns. i said something is wrong. i grabbed my dad and started running. i turned and saw a girl shot and i saw her die. i ve never seen anything like this. we were hiding behind the dumpster in about an hour. one man hiding with us had been shot in the head, he had bleeding all over his face. i m just happy that s all that happened. another girl was escorted out was shot in the leg. we went out to get our car keys and the st
asking for police officer names. they are asking and saying very harsh words. they are taking it they are standing stoic. flower pedals taking and with their shields right there on the ground waiting for anyone that will approach them, greta. morina, thank you. now we will try to go back it to franklin the baltimore police training commander. you have a line of police officers there standing there very stoic. obviously these are the provocateurs. this is what we train them to do. it s not just their training. what s important there are the supervisors standing behind them. the command officials that are behind them speaking to them. minute after minute. second after second. hold your composure.
in arizona, the maricopa county sheriff s department has been sued by the justice department. so that is a possibility. a justice official told me today that so far, the ferguson police department has been cooperating. as you pointed out, the justice department went down to ferguson, they were able to look at 35,000 pages of documents. they sat in four court sessions. they interviewed hundreds of people including the police chief, the supervisory command officials, rank and file. so there was a lot of cooperation on that front, and it looks like they will continue to cooperate. one of the things that people told me repeatedly down in ferguson is ferguson is just one of a whole bunch of municipalities that are basically run the same way. you can point to jennings which was a, had its police department disbanded by the feds. and b, where darren wilson got his start. there s also the question of, does this stop at ferguson? well the reaction tonight is
