KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested a man in Kulim for burning down a tent at the Tapak Mahlus polling centre and removing the flags of a Barisan Nasional component party.
KUALA LUMPUR: The police are offering help to coordinate various aid and humanitarian missions organised by many non-governmental organsations for the benefit of flood victims nationwide.
There is also speculation that a former MP was also among those arrested.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali said the focus of the investigation was on the four cops who were nabbed following the March 14 raid.
He said in the 12.44pm raid at the Vividaya logging camp at the Sapulut Forest Reserve area (Class II Commercial Forest), Kalabakan in Tawau, a team from the state Forestry Department detained 14 suspected illegal hunters.
“Four of them are police personnel, ” he said, adding that there was no other information on who the other suspects were.
Comm Hazani said the policemen involved would be dealt with accordingly and that they would not interfere with the investigation led by forestry authorities.
