KUALA LUMPUR: A woman, whose son is among the four men accused of killing former Mardi researcher Dr Wan Hassan Wan Embong, cried hysterically after he was charged.
The mother of 27-year-old electrician T. Sugu sobbed and wailed outside the courtroom, saying that her son was a good person and could not have committed such an offence.
“He is the only son who takes good care of me, ” she said in Tamil.
Sugu, together with security guard S. Vickneswaran, 22, despatch rider P. Kogilan, 23, and unemployed M. Ravindran, 23, were jointly charged in the Magistrate’s Court here with the murder of 73-year-old Wan Hassan.They allegedly committed the offence at the victim’s house in Bukit Bandaraya here between 3.35am and 4am on Nov 29.
