news that is not the end of the terror threat. jennifer griffin is at the pentagon for us tonight. has the u.s. lowered the terror threat level thing that they do? not yet, shep. yemenis say they stopped ports that would have put al qaeda in control of most of their cities. i m not going to get into any specifics from here from the podium on what was or wasn t a part of any threat stream. our embassy remains closed. we are continuing to evaluate all information on a daily basis. but, beyond that i don t have an additional update. we are keeping it closed to keep our people safe and because we believe a threat remains. there remain 1400 u.s. marines on board the uss off the coast of yemen just in case,. shepard: shep they are ratcheting up the drone strikes over there what are they getting? a senior u.s. official confirms there have been 5 to 7 separate drone strikes carried out in yemen in the past week alone. that is an incredible pace considering the president

spirit airlines flight say everybody on board was screaming, believing they were about to crash. it happened on sunday, when a spirit jet went into a deep dive to avoid colliding with a sky diving plane. the spirit flight was headed from detroit to dallas-fort worth, investigators say it was about 14,000 feet above michigan when it came close to that sky diving plane. and the jet s automatic it particular warning system instructed the spirit pilot to begin an immediate dissent. one passenger said the dive sent luggage spilling from the overi head bindz and flight attendants hit their heads. spokeswoman says at their closest the planes got into within a mile and a half of each other. george zimmerman s best friend today took the stand as a witness for the prosecution. ahead, how prosecutors are trying to use that friend s testimony to portray george zimmerman as a liar. that, plus our own greta van susteren live from the central florida courthouse coming up.
