Coming 2 America fans a way to sport the cult-favorite film’s sequel on their sleeves. The New York-bred rapper (born Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones) has teamed with the Craig Brewer-directed Amazon Original comedy (now streaming on Amazon Prime) on a limited-edition collection that “stands true to both the film’s and Nas’ roots from Africa to Queens,” per a release.

Coming 2 America is a PG-13 movie, and some fans were upset about that fact, but director Craig Brewerisn’t trying to hear it. The original picture had some room to play as an R-rated comedy. But, the filmmaker is asking that fans just don’t blindly discount his film before weighing it on the tone of the original during an interview with CinemaBlend. Starting in April, a pop-up restaurant inspired by McDowell s, the fast-food eatery seen in the film Coming to America, will open for a little over a week span at the South Jersey mall.
The pop-up will feature menu items such as the Big Mick. The spoof of McDonald s Big Mac features all the same ingredients - two all-beef patties, special sauce, cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions - but on a non-seeded bun, instead of a sesame seed bun.
