An appeals hearing will reportedly be held on April 22 for fired Oliver Springs Police Chief Kenneth “Kenny” Morgan, who was reportedly terminated for a variety of violations, including an alleged sexual relationship with a subordinate.
Oliver Springs Mayor Omer Cox signed the notice reportedly given to Morgan. Dated March 25, the notice lists misconduct, insubordination and falsification of records as the reason for the police chief s dismissal.
Under the falsification of records is a paragraph giving details. That paragraph states that reasons for termination include, but are not limited to, “falsifying time clock records, alleged sexual relationship with a subordinate; falsifying records to cause said subordinate employee to receive pay from the city which allegedly (was) not earned by said subordinate employee.

OLIVER SPRINGS, Tenn. Oliver Springs Mayor Omer Cox dismissed the town s chief of police following a probe into allegations he had maintained a sexual relationship with a subordinate and used his position to falsify records to benefit them.
Police Chief Kenneth Morgan was fired last week for misconduct, insubordination and falsification of records, according to his dismissal notice signed on March 25.
