Unpaid support staff during BSKE in Himamaylan City under investigation by Comelec
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is investigating the case of unpaid support staff hired during the last Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) in Himamaylan City. Comelec Region 6 director Dennis Ausan revealed this on Thursday, November 23, but did not disclose the full details of the case. Kabankalan City is also being investigated for unpaid support staff amounting to P3.7 million. The results of the investigation have been submitted to the national office of Comelec for further action. The support staff's payment status is yet to be confirmed. Ausan emphasized that the regional office has taken necessary measures and conducted a formal investigation to address the concern.
