Customs-prohibited items and smuggled goods were recently seized in two separate operations by the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED).
In the first operation at a staff house along Jalan Badas, Seria on Wednesday, six cartons and 18 packets of cigarettes were in found one of the workers’ rooms.
A 29-year-old Bangladeshi man was detained and brought to the Law Enforcement Office in Kuala Belait for investigation.
The second operation carried out yesterday was a Combined Sea and Land Operation (GOLD) at Jalan Pantai Serasa, where officers confiscated 249.2kg of mud crabs, 87.2kg of flower crabs, 184.2kg large-sized clams, 170.4kg of butter fruit, three sacks of fishing nets and one sack of fishing net floats.
