troops into a combat position against russia, whether putting drones up in the skies over ukraine, whether securing volodymyr zelensky and others with sturdy contractors, we cannot sit on the sidelines, we cannot continue to argue that poking the bear is not going to lead to further destruction when clearly the bear is rampaging across europe. yeah, joe. i heard you agree there, feel free to weigh in, understanding your primary concern what you think most likely this is about choking off power and energy to other parts of the country, i have to ask, how would a radiation leak impact people across europe? oh, hugely. you can look the chernobyl scale disaster a off the charts it was the worst disaster it sent a plume of radio activity
going to take the proposals back to vladimir putin. and i think that just gives you a picture. that progress has been made here but that there s a long way to go, including, of course, in the end, for the russians anything agreed will have to be signed off by president putin. in terms of how far we ve come, just think about this. at the beginning of the day, there was talk by the ukrainians that their negotiations were being advised not to drink anything or touch any services because of suggestions they might be poisoned. when the two sides met, they didn t even shake hands. now you have two things here i would highlight. one is this proposal by the russians to change apparently to change their military posture. no longer dialing down, if you like, in their combat position around the capitol, kyiv, in particular, as a way to try and gain trust in these
capacity. so the shift in that respect. i think a big political element as well because analysts say here they think one of the reasons for this announcement or public statement is to help the iraq he prime minister with domestic politics. he is under a lot of pressure from pro iran factions and parliament and pro iran militias to get rid of the us troops, to expel the us troops. at the same time he and others in the government feel they need the us presidents to help with counterterrorism. this is a way to try to reduce that pressure by saying these are not in a combat position. they are there to advise only. whether or not the iraqi militia take that as a change is another question. we ve had one spokesperson for iraqi militia already tell us that the projects any deal that allows american soldiers to stay in any capacity. thank you so much for bringing us up
