The Downtown Development Corporation wants 40,000 people living downtown by 2040. That's nearly four times the number of people [11,200] living there now. They also want to make downtown more diverse and more pedestrian and bicycle-friendly.
A new 10-year downtown strategic plan unveiled Tuesday at the Columbus Downtown Commission would include thousands more residents and workers, as well as grow small diverse businesses.
