Liberty Lake clinic to use proprietary whole-breast ultrasound technology

Angela Barnes expects to open Kvinna Care LLC in Liberty Lake in mid-February. “Kvinna” is a Swedish word for “woman.” A clinic opening next month in Liberty Lake offers a type of breast cancer detection using ultrasound technology that has been approved as an adjunct to traditional mammography. Kvinna, a trade name for Kvinna Care LLC, is set to open mid-February in the Liberty Lake Health & Wellness Center, at 1334 N. Whitman Lane. Kvinna, pronounced k’VEE-nuh, is Swedish for “woman.” Kvinna will employ four people at the clinic: two receptionists and two certified ultrasound technicians. Kvinna is also contracting with an Arizona-based radiologist, who will read and interpret ultrasounds and serve as the clinic’s medical advisor.
