Shelter in place lifted after vehicle hits gas main on Highway 30 in St. Helens KATU Staff
The crash happened outside the Columbia Humane Society.
Firefighters issued a shelter-in-place order for those in the area, but lifted it around 10 p.m.
According to NW Natural, its crews controlled the gas main leak at about 7:20 p.m. Crews were still working on repairs late Wednesday.
According to Columbia River Fire & Rescue, the driver who hit the gas line drove away.
