An Arkansas National Guardsman and emergency room nurse at Mercy Fort Smith was promoted to sergeant major while on duty at the U.S. Capitol this week.
Dennis Huynh of Fort Smith was promoted from first sergeant Tuesday while on duty with the 142nd Field Artillery Brigade based in Fayetteville.
