State Vet Welcomed by Colleagues
Thursday May 6th, 2021
New Colorado State Veterinarian Dr. Maggie Baldwin begins her position with enthusiastic support from colleagues at the Department of Agriculture.
Colorado Proud Program Manager Danielle Trotta says she is happy to welcome the new state vet for a host of reasons.
Trotta: “ I’m just so excited. The Colorado Department of Agriculture has been making history for the past couple of years elevating women to these great positions. We started with Commissioner Kate as the first women commissioner and now we have our first Colorado State Veterinarian Maggie Baldwin. She just really stepped up to the plate during the pandemic and worked with the Governor’s office and emergency response and put her skill set to good use. She’s young, she has a family and we’re just happy to see her excel and plant her roots and do great things in that position.”
