Colorado High School Coach Accused of Sexual Assault on a Minor A Colorado high school basketball coach has been arrested and is being charged with sexual assault by a person of trust on a 16-year-old girl. The man, 31-year-old George Pollard, is the head coach for District 11 s Doherty High School girls basketball team in Colorado Springs. He is also a paraprofessional for Academy District 20 and a volunteer for the Pluto Basketball Club, both also based in the Colorado Springs area. The initial report came to the Colorado Springs Police Department on June 10th, 2021, alleging that Pollard had sexually assaulted the 16-year-old girl. However, School District 20 has said that the incident does not involve any students or staff in said district, but it does not appear that District 11 has ruled that out. Regardless, Pollard has been placed on administrative leave from both District 11 and District 20 and has been suspended from the basketball club.
