Human trafficking contributes to an industry that although in the shadows continues to be a problem worldwide and in Pueblo.
“The issue with human trafficking is that it is not always super evident, Sgt. Franklyn Ortega said. It’s not like a shooting or other crimes that are real obvious and right in front of your face.
“There’s also times where the victims are trapped in a vicious cycle, Ortega added. With this campaign, we hope to help bring awareness to not only the public, but also the victims.”
Over the past several weeks, the police department has posted and reposted information about the campaign and other graphics concerning awareness about human trafficking.
