After you introduce the situation now you do a really good job, i think, of talking about, through stories about how workers struggled, really they themselves built the middle class in this country to a great extent by organizing, by striking, by bargaining and through diversity and by demanding policy changes and then you go through a lot of the hard times of what i call the reagan era which i think we are still in where companies and starting with the president of the United States really have attacked workers all hot and their unions and then you tell hopeful stories about different creative and innovative ways that workers have been organiz

Give you a live look along 80uin soda springs. Thats just north of tahoe. Here right now. The interstate is closed from colfax to the nevada state line in both directions. The section of 80 has actually been for most of the weekend. Ktvu latest it the latest route in the tahoe region to temporarily close sunday morning amid a days long blizzard in the sierra. , caltrao get in there pretty quick. Um, there was no reported injuries, but a couple cars were caught under the slide. Um, and so they cleared those and were able to open it up. I think within 30 minutes. I caught an edge and i was trying to avoid this tree. And then i caught another edge and went boom, right into the tree. I just stopped. I could not feel my legs. Blake mendenhall of napa spoke with me while recovering in a reno hospital. He crashed into a tree while snowboard at a tahoe ski resort sunday afternoon. Now, his parents are by his side along with his favorite nurse. Family members say he severed his spinal cord and cannot walk despite his life changing injuries.
