Thank you for joining us today for this historical occasion. My name is kayla smith, and i will be your mistress of ceremonies for the evening. Growing up in San Francisco d5, hayes valley, to be exact, since the age of four, i have been privileged to receive mentorship from my community. I went from running departments at project level to now earning my internship at nbc this upcoming summer. [applause] ive always been ambitious, but i was lucky to have women in my life that looked like me and achieved great things, and one of those great women that i looked up to the most, our current mayor, my godmother, london breed. She wasnt changed much, by the way. To this day, she is still the same wise, inspiring, and supportive person that she was when i was a child. I know all too well the impact that mayor b
