NORWALK As investigators search for the culprit behind last week’s fatal shooting at Colonial Village, police are taking steps to increase security at the public housing complex.
More than a dozen officers in recent days have been assigned to patrol the streets surrounding Colonial Village, which is located off Connecticut Avenue, according to a department log tracking police activity in the city.
Police have been a near constant presence in the area since 19-year-old Timothy Cantey was shot just after noon on Thursday in the 100 block of Suncrest Road. Cantey, a South Norwalk resident, died the next morning at Norwalk Hospital.
