The longtime pastor of St. Colman Church, the Rev. Bob Begin, has died. He was known as a champion of the poor and as the "rebel priest," once being arrested for celebrating an unauthorized protest Mass at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, the headquarters of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
An arrest has been made in connection with the arson and vandalism of both a Catholic church and a Methodist church in Bethesda, Maryland, that occurred on July 9 and July 10.
