Environmental groups worried by Adirondack subdivision near Northville | The Daily Gazette SECTIONS FULTON COUNTY  Environmental groups are expressing their concerns about the environmental impacts of a 34-lot subdivision to be built around Woodward Lake in northern Fulton County as the Adirondack Park Agency prepares to consider a subdivision permit for the project. The plans by New York Land and Lakes Development LLC of Oneonta call for building lots to be located around the perimeter of the 129-acre man-made impoundment, in a concept critics say doesn’t sufficiently protect the environment, or comply with cluster subdivision regulations the APA adopted in 2018.

New York Land and Lakes Development wants to subdivide more than 1,100 acres on Collins Gifford Valley and High Rock roads in the Fulton County towns of Mayfield and Northampton into 34 lots for 30 new single-family dwellings The project site includes the entirety of 129-acre Woodward Lake. A 2,000-foot-long road would be built and owned by a property owners association. Individual lot owners will install and maintain the water supply, wastewater treatment, and stormwater management on each residential lot. Comment period ends Jan. 15.
