McKinney City Council members on Tuesday once again declined to decide whether to remove the statue of James W. Throckmorton, a Confederate brigadier general and former Texas governor, from the city’s historic square.
Mayor George Fuller, District 3 council member Scott Elliott and recently appointed District 1 council member Angela Richardson-Woods, the first Black woman to serve on the council, were ready to take action on the hot-button issue.
