Pic: The junction. Google A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a car crash at an accident blackspot in Cradley. The accident happened on the junction of Colley Lane and Bridge Street, at around 1.33pm yesterday (Sunday May 16). The occupants of one of the cars are believed to have fled the scene, near the junction with Lyde Green. The crash led to people on social media commenting that the spot is an accident blackspot and something should be done to improve safety. Police, firefighters and medics were at the scene of the crash, with Colley Lane blocked off for hours.
The woman in her 30s, was treated at hospital for a serious break to her right leg. She was driving her scooter at the junction with Chapel House Lane and Park Road at around 6.30pm on May 4. Officers believe a white BMW ran through a red light from Colley Lane into Chapel House Lane and collided with the scooter. The driver of the BMW did not stop. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from around the scene and appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to get in contact. Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 and quote log 3793 of 4 May.

The crash, between a car and a motorcycle, happened on the A458 Colley Gate at its junction with Colley Lane just after 6.30pm yesterday (Tuesday May 4). Medics and police were at the scene with the female rider treated by paramedics for her injuries. The roads were closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: Two ambulances were sent to the scene. The woman who had been on the motorbike suffered nasty but non-life threatening injuries.
