We had a super successful class. We had seven girls who are attaching themselves to school, loving literature and loving books, loving a school like experience in the teacher. I think the biggest challenge i faced was just about the time that my class finished i had to leave to come back to my home state and found my nonprofit that i was thinking about founding. The biggest difficulty was not being able to kind of finish the class when the girls were entering adolescence. Transported from sierra leon where they contracted ebola to the u. S. In isolation aboard a privately chartered medevac. The patient is a health care worker. They were volunteering at an ebola treatment unit in west africa where they came in contact with the virus. This is the second ebola patient treated here at nih. The first was nurse nina pham. She contracted the virus at a dallas hospital while treating Thomas Duncan a liberian man who fell ill shortly after coming to the u. S. Pham was successfully treated, and released and she is now ebolafree. Nih has a highly specialized contagious disease unit designed to handle diseases like ebola one of a handful of such facilities in the country. Hospital officials are not releasing a lot of information about this patient. We dont know their gender for example, or their age. I provided city and warriors and Port Commission and number of theserer officials, the mayor in my proposal to include a High School Class room facility within this arena.
