It s been a whirlwind year for health care professionals. Students, staff and faculty at both North Dakota State University and the University of North Dakota said it s not necessarily changing what they teach but how COVID-19 fits into the picture.
Both schools said, while it s a little too early to get a good count, they re seeing a slight increase in the number of graduating high school seniors wanting to become nurses.
Adaptation is the name of the game for the health care field. Nursing programs at universities worldwide are immersing students in the now and preparing for the unexpected yet to come.
