A Thunder Bay doctor is on a mission to recoup over $160,000 she lent to a woman who was expelled from the University of Manitoba's residency program after she fabricated evidence of a non-existent serious medical condition.
The Ontario College of Family Physicians is calling for urgent supports for family doctors and patients. Currently, nearly 32,000 people in and around Sudbury, Manitoulin and Parry Sound do not have a family doctor. That number is expected to double by 2026.
