Search for: TCJ Student Launches New Creative Writing Column Featuring Brianna Reed May 4, 2021 Tribal College Journal is launching a new creative writing column featuring award-winning student author Brianna Reed of the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA). The first of its kind, the new bi-monthly column will showcase Reed’s rising talent as she continues to break boundaries and explore new horizons through her flash fiction and creative non-fiction. Reed is Navajo and a second-year student at IAIA. Her creative column will be called “Moccasin Millennial: Candid Creations of life as a Burqueño.” Known for her bold, gritty, unflinching, yet honest writing, Reed will focus on stories about home and life in the urban wilds of Albuquerque, New Mexico, as she delves into the heartbreak and inspiration of everyday Burqueños.
