The city thinking about acquiring the grid and thousands of the transmission lines and it could mean lowering rates for customers going forward. Its a win, win, win for san franciscans. Supervisor is ready to kick pg e to the curb, and it will offer the city it will be able to definitely keep flat if not lower costs. Revenue bonds would pay for the purchase. By purchasing Renewable Energy from sources and using pg es lines to get it to homes. If the city takes over that would be good, and if it lowers the rate, that would be much better.
