Good Samaritans help victims in fiery I-8 crash

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) A Marine was among several people who rushed to help victims of a fiery crash on Interstate 8 in the College Area.
At around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, two cars were involved in a crash on westbound I-8 near College Avenue, resulting in an emergency response.
Several other drivers, including active-duty Marine Nicholas Lahay, pulled over and helped people who were in the crash. The good Samaritans also pulled a driver out of the wreckage just moments before one of the vehicles burst into flames.

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) One person was seriously injured Thursday when a car swerved off a College-area street and crashed into a tree.
According to San Diego Police, the crash happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Montezuma Road, just southwest of San Diego State University.
Police say they found the driver sleeping in his car near College Ave. and Montezuma Rd and saw a gun between the driver s legs. When the driver woke up, he took off.
Police say the man sped down Montezuma Rd. East of Collwood Blvd. and crashed into a pine tree. He suffered serious injures and is recovering at Scripps Mercy Hospital.
