CAMPTON, N.H. — Hikers planning a climb of the historic Franconia Ridge Loop Trail this summer should be aware that restoration work has begun on the historic 11.4-mile loop.
Someone used a chain saw to cut out parts of a well-known sign along the Kancamagus Highway letting travelers know that they’re entering or leaving the White Mountain National Forest, officials said.The damaged sign is in Albany. Saws also were used.
