Sovereign Housing Association: Mental health charities offered £10,000 grant

GRANTS of up to £10,000 are now available for charitable projects that focus on health and wellbeing. Sovereign Housing Association has continued its work for the not-for-profit digital fundraising platform, The Good Exchange, meaning it now has £90,000 to share through a community grants programme. Any group or charity running projects within three miles of Sovereign homes, across the South of England can apply. Further funding will also be announced later on this year. Rachel Peters, Community Development Officer at Sovereign, said: “In the last two years of working with The Good Exchange, we’ve given over £385,000 in grants to 120 community groups, charities and initiatives, including The Berin Centre in South Oxfordshire, Citizens Advice West Berkshire, and Faithworks Wessex’s homelessness and mental health work in Dorset.

Media Links Hosted on The Good Exchange platform, donations will be match-funded up to £250,000 to provide £500,000 for learning equipment across West Berkshire and beyond 8th January 2021 – Greenham Trust has today launched the ‘Laptops for Lockdown Learning’ appeal to give every child a laptop to learn under lockdown. Laptops for Lockdown Website Post Hosted on The Good Exchange, Greenham Trust will match up to £250,000 of donations made to the appeal. Every £1 donated will be matched, with the capability to raise £500,000 to help schools buy laptops and tablets for disadvantaged children to learn from so they don’t fall behind during lockdown. While the campaign initially serves local children in Greenham Trust area of operation - the West Berkshire and North Hampshire region, it is expected The Good Exchange will also attract other funders, corporates and the wider community onto the platform and possibly extend to create other similar programmes in other areas
