Engie Group is considering putting its UK business, Engie Regeneration, into a new entity with a view to selling it off.
The French firm has changed its strategy to focus on renewable energy, energy transport and large scale energy infrastructure projects. Other operations, including design-and-build construction and building and operations and maintenance, are set to be placed into a new entity. The group has said this new business could be sold.
“These activities benefit from strong growth prospects and leadership positions, however, they are less aligned with Engie’s new strategic orientation,” the company said, explaining its decision.
Engie Regeneration, as the group’s main construction enterprise in the UK, could be included in this entity, the company has confirmed.

Tomorrow marks the start of a brand new year and the Chief of Staff for Quinte Health Care has a couple of priorities top of mind.
Dr. Colin MacPherson says priority one is to deal with what could be major problems for hospitals if the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic gets out of control.
Local hospitals are already at or near capacity so all eyes are on the COVID-19 stats and everyone is urging people to not gather together over the holidays.
Dr. MacPherson says after the pandemic eases priority two will be for QHC management to sit back and take stock of what they’ve learned over the past challenging months.

As he’s said before, the Chief of Staff of Quinte Health Care says now is the time to get serious and do the right things to slow the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
Dr. Colin MacPherson says people must abide by medical experts’ advice and only get together with immediate family during holiday celebrations.
