Poland-headquartered food group Colian is seeking to double the size of its UK business to over £50m with the launch of a local unit that brings together the sales and distribution of its portfolio of confectionery brands that include Lily O’Brien’s and Elizabeth Shaw.
The five-year plan will see increased brand investment and access to Colian’s manufacturing facilities and product development capabilities to help Colian UK become a “major player” in the UK confectionery category.
Andrew Marjoram, who was previously Commercial Director for Lily O’Brien’s, has been appointed as its Managing Director of the newly formed UK business. He commented: “We are delighted to announce the launch of Colian UK. Since the acquisitions of Elizabeth Shaw and Lily O’Brien’s by Colian in 2016/18, both brands have experienced strong growth and it is now time to bring this talented team more closely together to spearhead growth across the group.
