Do roll call. [ roll call ] agenda number two, Public Comment on matters appearing or not appearing on the agenda. Thank you, Ethics Commissioners and staff of our city. I am a Public Services worker. I am a delegate for Government Employees. I am also the director of Public Relations for the california grand jury association, the San Francisco chapter. I have been coming to the Ethic Commission for the Government Employees in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019. The last time i was here was january of 2020. I came to report issues of possibly government corruption and Election Fraud. As you remember, i was one of the eight candidates for San Francisco mayor in the june 2018 election. I was not allowed to join the forums, debates in Public Places like city hall, Public Library, public parks. I was one of the six candidates for San Francisco mayor for the november 2009 election. I was bullied about the Democratic Leaders and officials that many of them condemn my billboards and illegal removed and m
In San Francisco, we do celebrate a new record low of new h. I. V. Infections, less than 200 last year. Thank you, dr. Brent colfax, for your leadership in the department of health. We know we will continue to make those investments that well get to zero. We know that we did the count around homeless youth. About 50 of the youth that are homeless in this city identify as lgbt, and we want to make sure that we help the next generation of young people growing up in this community so that they have hope. So many great things but also so much more work to do. And i am really confident in the leadership of this city to really help us move forward on so many different levels. As we think about just the attacks that we have been under. I mean, we just had a visit from the other number 45 here this weekend, and i cant help but think about not only our city being under attack, but also our Lgbt Community, where we continue to fight for things that we shouldnt have to at this point. You know, wh
Its the only thing we have to fix it because if someone has alleged and shown there is work beyond the scope of permit, i guess what else could we do other than to correct that through the permitting process . But then again, it happens again. And there is mr. Fixit again, which enables it fixes it, but enables. Thats strike two. Right. So in addition to my, you know, dislike of section 317, there is also weaknesses in our enforcement process, whereby generally for assessment of penalties, its only if someone is nonresponsive. So if you speed, you get a ticket. And that ticket is going to cost you something. That does not exist in the planning code. At most, what we do and what the code allows, we can assess its for our enforcement time so time and materials and then 2,000 added onto the cost of the permit. And that is what we have in order to penalize. What i understand, this is happening once or twice, where is the penalty . How do we stop someone from doing this again . I dont have
We are going to split our time so you can watch a short video we have. Good morning. Talk into the microphone. Good morning, commissioners, i am a senior resident of the housing park project. I love the buchanan mall area that was transformed when citizen film and green street and others made it a point to make it a livable area. When i say livable, it was just a bearren land before. Nothing was there but neighbor a basketball court. Now there are beautiful flowers and herbs and Entertainment Center to it is and read a book in the warm sunlight. It makes tourists really want to stop by and visit and look at our murals to see what we are doing in the neighborhood. At one point we had a beautiful garden there were i would pick my Collard Greens and cook and eat them, of course. I am looking forward to the concept to be done with the new area because i am sure it is going to be successful, and i am hoping that as much funding as possible can be given to that area, too. I am sure the senio
Work of health right 360. Im excited to be here today and be joined by supervisor haney and dr. Grant colfax from the department of Public Health to really express my excitement about what these new beds due to provide an opportunity for people who we know need this level of support. As someone who grew up in San Francisco and especially now as mayor, i do spend a lot of time in the neighborhood. And the consistent theme of people, who in some cases that i grew up with, or the parents of people who i grew up with, who unfortunately have had challenges with Substance Use disorder, they are maybe getting the kind of help and treatment they need to, but then once they go through the 90 day program, thats when the struggle really begins. They dont know where they are going to go. And the truth of the matter is, in many cases, there are challenges around trust with some of their family members. So they cant always go home. So what do we do to make sure that they stay clean and sober . How d
