With the buildings having sat idle for over three years, there was significant interest as a large chunk of Wexford’s South Main Street went under the hammer at a public auction in the Talbot Hotel on Friday afternoon.
One of the biggest commercial property sales in Wexford town history is due to take place next month with an auction of the Colman Doyle shops in South Main Street which have been vacant for over three years.
Wexford County Council is set to get tough with the owners of vacant buildings around Wexford town centre who are allowing their buildings fall into a state of disrepair.
