Transformer shattered in the street. Just feet from two Canton Police officers who heard the warning signs something bad was about to happen. You heard the crack. You looked. You started, it was like slow motion and you just got out of the way. Reporter both of you at the same time . Go exactly. Reporter sargent paul and officer of the officer were on detail watching cleanup after the storm blew neighborhood and brought down power lines and two poles with it. Hours later with the officers standing feet away, a third power pole came down when workers removed a power line that was holding it up. Thank god the power was dead to it because i dont know what could have happened if it was live pour running to it but it wasnt. The power has been killed up around the corner. So we were lucky. Scene at a local marina as fire consumes boats on a dock. The flames quickly spreading from one boat to the next. Again, tense moments, those nine boats were totally destroyed. Good afternoon, im kathryn hauser. And im chris mckinnon. Thank you for being with us. Crews rushed to put the fire out. Nicole jacobs is live in quincy. You spoke with some barely escaped the fire. Reporter we did, chris. But i should first mentioned the aroma of gasoline is still in the air. That as well as all of the fiberglass here helped fuel the fire according to officials. If you take a look you can still see they are here investigating the situation. Fire officials were able to save some of the boat that were in the path of the flames, but fortunate. From high above Captains Cove marina in quincy, flames and thick black smoke billow, on the water, stories of loss and heartbreak emerge. I can see it right there. Nothing left.
