Summit County Democrats nominated two candidates during the party’s virtual convention on Saturday with one heading to the November ballot and the other unseating the incumbent.
John “Jack” Murphy, a Republican, launched a campaign for the Summit County Council last week. The political newcomer says he is interested in bringing balance back to the county s public office.
The November ballot is taking shape as the candidate filing window closes, giving voters better insight into who their elected officials could be for the upcoming year.
