At times he is far more wellknown for being an economic conservative, being hawkish about Border Security. He is a christian. But he has gone out of his way to make sure his faith isnt part of his politics. We are having a debate in australia at the moment about religious freedom legislation after the passage of samesex marriage. And he is really trying to to find a path thats not about his faith and about making sure his faith is paramount. Instead he tries to make sure that the rules of the road are simple, that regardless what have faith you have you cant be discriminated for well having that view in public. How much what has been the focus of his first year in office . Well it was turbulent time. He had been the treasurer in the the liberal party came in power in australia in 2013. We had a tumultuous time of leadership changes.
Im still quite young. I grew up on a farm. And we had no money. We grew our own food. Food. No problem with we grew chickens. We had cows and make our own salt and sugar. We sold butter and we sold eggs. We grew our own wheat and corn. Flour. Ad which was ground as a meal near us. I dont remember the Great Depression that much. I guess you helped out a little bit i would imagine. I grew up working very hard. Worked, everybody had their jobs. I worked in the gardens. Grew all of our vegetables. We really were selfsufficient. How many brothers and sisters did you have . I had five brothers and sisters. Two sisters and three brothers. There were six of them. What we doing before the war broke out . I went to high school to the methodist school. My oldest sister became a nurse. My mother worked with our family doctor. She was not a nurse but she was in the home with our family doctor.
